Austin Pollard

Austin Pollard, MSW, MBA, is a United States Marine Corps veteran committed to advancing housing stability, justice support, and health equity for vulnerable populations. With firsthand experience of homelessness, Austin brings a unique perspective that combines lived experience with academic and professional expertise. He leads statewide initiatives focused on addressing social determinants of health for Medicaid members, developing innovative strategies that promote long-term stability and improve health outcomes.

Austin holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Nevada, Reno, and an MBA from Capella University. His dedication to community impact has earned him recognition as the Human Services Agency’s Student Volunteer of the Year (2020) and inclusion in Reno Tahoe Young Professionals Network’s Twenty Under 40 (2022). Austin also serves in leadership roles on regional councils and advisory committees focused on homelessness and housing solutions. He is passionate about creating systemic change and fostering collaborative partnerships that strengthen communities across Nevada.
