Melissa is the Director of Human Resources for LP Insurance Services, LLC. She is a 25-year industry veteran with experience throughout the human resources field. She is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno and earned a Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In addition, Melissa has received her SHRM-SCP (Society of Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional) and SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certifications.

Prior to joining LP Insurance in 2022, Melissa owned and operated HRinDemand, a full-service HR consulting services company. She also held positions with the MGM Grand Hotel Casino, the N9NE Group and the Greenspun Media Group among others.

In her current role, she oversees all internal HR operations and compliance as well as all external HR-related risk services that LP offers clientele throughout the footprint. Melissa is a dedicated professional and a member of the Northern Nevada Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), serving as President in 2021 and as chair of Workforce Readiness.

Additionally, she has been an ambassador of the Chamber of Commerce as well as a member of NCET’s (Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology) and the Northern Nevada Literacy Council board of directors.
